Scene 1: The Hospital Corridor – Moments Later
Characters: Sarah (Pregnant woman), Mark (Husband), Nurse (The antagonist), Stranger.
(Sarah is on the floor, clutching her stomach. Mark is frantically trying to help her up, but the Nurse looms over them, cold and calculated.)
NURSE: (Voice cold as ice) Mark, stop trying to play the hero. You know exactly what happens if she stays here.
MARK: (Voice trembling, defensive) I don’t care about the consequences anymore. She’s in pain, and she’s pregnant!
SARAH: (Gasping, voice weak) Mark… what is she talking about? What is this… this mark on my back?
NURSE: (She steps closer, pulling out a small, metallic device) It’s not just a mark, Sarah. It’s a calling card.
MARK: (Turning to Sarah, eyes filled with desperation) Sarah, I’m so sorry. I tried to keep you away from them, but they found us. That mark… it means you belong to the Order of the Crescent.
SARAH: (Struggling to sit up, her eyes wide with fear) The what? I don’t belong to anyone! I’m just… I’m just trying to have a baby!
Scene 2: A Darkened Waiting Room
(A mysterious STRANGER emerges from the shadows at the end of the hallway. He wears a heavy coat and holds a piece of paper.)
STRANGER: (Voice deep, urgent) She doesn’t have much time. The ritual starts at moonrise.
NURSE: (Turning sharply) Who let you in here?
STRANGER: (Walking toward them, ignoring the nurse) You’ve been hiding her for years, Mark. But the moon doesn’t lie. Look at her skin. The red is glowing.
(Sarah looks over her shoulder, her hands trembling as she touches the mark. It is indeed pulsing with a faint, crimson light.)
SARAH: (Horrified) What is happening to me?
Scene 3: The Confrontation
MARK: (Stepping in front of Sarah) You stay back! We’re leaving this hospital now.
NURSE: (Laughing coldly) You’re not going anywhere. The exits are sealed. The moment that mark appeared, this building became a cage.
SARAH: (Standing up, suddenly feeling a surge of unnatural energy) I… I can feel something. It’s like a hum in my blood.
STRANGER: (To Sarah) That’s the legacy, Sarah. Your mother had it. Her mother had it. It skips generations, waiting for the right moment. The baby you’re carrying… he’s the one they are really after.
MARK: (Shocked) Our child? Why would they want a child?
STRANGER: Because he isn’t entirely human. The moon has plans for him.
Scene 4: The Escape Attempt
(The lights in the hallway begin to flicker. The sound of a low, rhythmic thumping starts to echo through the walls.)
NURSE: (Eyes wide with excitement) It’s beginning. Stay still, Sarah. It will be painless… if you don’t fight it.

SARAH: (Turning to Mark, her resolve hardening) We have to get out of here. Mark, give me your coat.
MARK: What? Why?
SARAH: The mark! If it’s sensitive to the moon, maybe it’s sensitive to light. Cover it. Now!
(Mark quickly wraps his jacket around her shoulders, hiding the mark. The pulsing light fades slightly, and the flickering lights stabilize.)
STRANGER: (Impressed) Clever. But that won’t stop them for long. You need to get to the basement, to the old service tunnel. It’s the only way out of the city limits.
Scene 5: The Climax in the Basement
(Sarah and Mark are running down a flight of concrete stairs. The Nurse is right behind them, accompanied by two silent figures in dark robes.)
MARK: (Out of breath) How much further?
SARAH: (Holding her stomach) I’m okay, keep moving!
(They reach a heavy steel door at the bottom. It’s locked.)
SARAH: (Places her hand on the door, trembling) Open. Please, just open!
(The mark on her back suddenly flares with blinding light, burning through the jacket. The lock on the door clicks and swings open on its own.)
MARK: (Staring in awe) How did you…
SARAH: I don’t know. I just felt it.
(They rush into the tunnel. The Nurse appears at the top of the stairs, looking down at them with a look of pure, unadulterated rage.)
NURSE: (Screaming) You cannot escape the tide! The Moon will always claim its own!
Scene 6: The Exit
(They run through the dark, damp tunnel until they see a pinprick of light at the end. They emerge into a forest clearing, under the light of a massive, full moon.)
MARK: (Collapsing on the grass, holding Sarah) We made it. We’re out.
SARAH: (Looking up at the moon, her expression shifting from fear to something more serene) Mark… look at the sky.
(The moon seems to grow larger, casting a strange, silver glow over Sarah. She places her hand on her stomach, and the baby kicks.)
SARAH: He’s not afraid, Mark. He’s listening.
MARK: (Looking at her with a mix of love and terror) What do we do now?
SARAH: (Looking into the distance) We run. And we never, ever stop.

(The camera zooms in on Sarah’s eyes, reflecting the full moon, as the screen fades to black.)
