Part2_A1606006_Shocking Wedding Drama Unfolds When An Angry Bride Attacks And Groom Hands A Secret Heartbreaking Note_parte2

The heavy gold-trimmed doors of the grand ballroom slammed shut, the echo cutting through the collective gasp of two hundred wedding guests.

Amelia stood frozen, her custom lace veil trembling against her bare shoulders as she stared at the folded piece of paper in Julian’s hands.

The older woman, Julian’s grandmother, was being hurried out of the side exit by two panicked bridesmaids, her hands still shaking from the confrontation.

Elena, the woman in the second wedding dress, felt her knees give out slightly, her fingers clutching the delicate fabric of her gown.

— “What is this, Julian?” — Elena whispered, her voice cracking under the weight of a sudden, suffocating dread.

— “Amelia, look at me.” — Julian’s voice was too quiet, devoid of the warmth he had carried just moments ago at the altar.

— Amelia didn’t look at him; her eyes were locked onto the sharp corners of the note.

— “Is this a joke?” — Amelia demanded, her tone rising, sharp enough to cut the heavy silence. — “Why is she wearing my alternative dress, Julian? Why is your grandmother looking at me like I’m a ghost?”

— Julian didn’t answer right away; instead, he unfolded the paper, his knuckles turning white.

— “Because you are a ghost, Amelia.” — a voice rang out from the back of the ballroom.

— The crowd parted like the Red Sea as Richard, Julian’s older brother and the family’s reclusive attorney, walked forward, his footsteps echoing on the marble floor.

— He wasn’t wearing a tuxedo; he wore a sharp, dark grey suit, and his expression was entirely unreadable.

— “Richard, stay back.” — Julian warned, his jaw clenching tightly.

— “No, Julian, the performance is over.” — Richard said, stopping just a few feet away from the three of them.

— Elena looked between the brothers, tears finally spilling over her flushed cheeks.

— “Someone speak to me!” — Elena cried out, her hands reaching for Julian’s arm. — “Why did you call me your bride? Why did you make me put this dress on in the back room?”

— Julian flinched away from her touch, his eyes fixed solely on Amelia.

— “I did it to save the family name, Elena.” — Julian said, his voice flat, almost mechanical. — “And to save myself from her.”

— He pointed the folded note directly at Amelia.

— Amelia let out a sharp, bitter laugh, tossing her head back, though her eyes remained fiercely defensive.

— “From me? I am your fiancee! We’ve spent two years planning this day!”

— “Two years planning a lie.” — Julian snapped, stepping closer, the facade of the polite gentleman completely shattering.

— He thrust the paper into her hands.

— “Read it.” — he commanded. — “Read what my grandmother found in your bridal suite ten minutes before you walked down the aisle.”

— Amelia snatched the paper, her eyes scanning the elegant, handwritten script, and for a fraction of a second, her face drained of all color.

— But she recovered quickly, her lips curling into a sneer.

— “This proves nothing. It’s an old letter. It’s from before I even met you.”

— “It’s dated last Tuesday, Amelia.” — Richard interjected, his voice dripping with icy certainty. — “And it’s addressed to the executor of my father’s offshore estate.”

— The guests began to whisper fiercely, the sound like dry leaves scraping against concrete.

— Elena stood between them, a prop in a theater production she hadn’t auditioned for, her heart hammering against her ribs.

— “What estate?” — Elena asked, looking at Julian. — “Julian, you told me your father died penniless.”

— Julian finally looked at Elena, a flash of genuine pain crossing his sharp features.

— “He did, Elena. To the public, he died with nothing.” — Julian said softly. — “But Amelia found the hidden accounts. The ones reserved for the legitimate heir.”

— “And who is the legitimate heir?” — Amelia challenged, her voice dripping with venom as she realized her cover was blown. — “You, Julian? You’re the second son. The spare.”

— “No.” — Richard said, stepping fully into the light of the massive crystal chandelier. — “Not him.”

— Richard turned his gaze directly to Elena, whose breath caught in her throat.

— “It’s you, Elena.” — Richard announced, his voice carrying to every corner of the room.

— A collective gasp rippled through the crowd; several older relatives began whispering frantically behind their hands.

— Elena felt the world tilt beneath her feet, the heavy satin of her dress suddenly feeling like lead.

— “What… what are you talking about?” — Elena stammered, shaking her head. — “I’m a floral designer. My mother raised me alone in a two-room apartment. I don’t know your family.”

— “Your mother knew our father, Elena.” — Julian said, his voice dropping an octave, filled with a strange mixture of regret and anger. — “Very well, in fact. Before he married our mother.”

— “She was his first wife, Elena. The marriage was annulled by the family patriarchs to secure a corporate alliance.” — Richard added, pulling a small leather-bound document from his jacket. — “But the trust was never legally altered. It belongs to his firstborn child. You.”

— Amelia took a step back, her perfect bridal posture fracturing.

— “This is a setup.” — Amelia hissed, her eyes darting toward the exits. — “You brought this charity case here to humiliate me? To take what is mine?”

— “Yours?” — Julian barked out a laugh, a sound raw with betrayal. — “You never loved me, Amelia. You tracked down the ledger, you figured out the lineage, and you targeted me because you thought I was the key to unlocking it.”

— “And you played along!” — Amelia screamed, her composure entirely vanishing. — “You courted me! You gave me this ring!”

— “Because I didn’t know the truth until an hour ago!” — Julian roared, his chest heaving. — “I thought you loved me! I thought we were building a life! But Richard found the texts on your old laptop. You were planning to divorce me six months after the wedding and claim half of the estate through the prenuptial loophole you forced my lawyers to sign!”

— Elena felt like she was drowning in a sea of white lace and gold trim.

— “So you used me?” — Elena’s voice was dangerously quiet now, looking at Julian. — “You had your assistants bring me to the holding room, told me there was an emergency with the bridal party, and made me put on this dress just to use me as a shield?”

— Julian looked down, unable to meet her gaze.

— “I needed a bride, Elena. The contract with the bank stipulates that the estate must be claimed by a married heir of the bloodline by midnight tonight, or it reverts to the state.” — Julian confessed, his voice barely audible. — “I thought… if I married you instead, we could keep it in the family. We could fix everything.”

— “Keep it in your family?” — Elena scoffed, a deep, burning anger replacing her sadness. — “You don’t even know me! You’ve seen me three times at consultation meetings for your centerpieces!”

— “He doesn’t know you, Elena.” — Richard stepped between them, his eyes locked onto Elena’s. — “But I do.”

— The ballroom went entirely silent; even the ambient murmurs vanished.

— Julian looked up sharply at his brother.

— “What do you mean by that, Richard?” — Julian asked, his brow furrowing.

— “I’m the one who hired her company for the wedding, Julian.” — Richard said, a cold smile touching his lips. — “I’m the one who leaked the ledger details to Amelia six months ago.”

— Amelia froze, her eyes widening in sheer terror.

— “You…” — Amelia whispered. — “It was an anonymous tip. You sent that encrypted file?”

— “Of course I did.” — Richard said smoothly. — “I knew you were greedy enough to take the bait. I knew you’d push Julian toward marriage faster than he could think. And I knew you’d leave a paper trail trying to secure the funds.”

— Julian took a step toward his brother, his fists clenching at his sides.

— “Why, Richard? Why would you ruin my life? Why would you destroy my wedding day?”

— “Because you’re an idiot, brother.” — Richard said, his tone devoid of affection. — “You would have wasted the legacy on failing tech startups and country club memberships. Elena actually deserves it. And more importantly, she’s the rightful owner.”

— Richard turned back to Elena, offering his hand.

— “The papers are signed, Elena. Your mother’s maiden name is on the secondary trust. You don’t need to marry Julian. You don’t need to marry anyone. You just need to walk out of here with me, and the empire is yours.”

— Elena looked at Richard’s outstretched hand, then at Julian’s broken, humiliated face, and finally at Amelia, who looked like a wild animal cornered in a cage.

— “You’re all monsters.” — Elena said softly, the words heavy and deliberate.

— She reached behind her back, her fingers fumbling with the intricate zipper of the second wedding dress.

— With a sharp downward tug, the silk loosened.

— She stepped out of the heavy, elaborate skirt, revealing the simple denim jeans and white t-shirt she had worn to the venue to set up the flowers.

— She kicked the thousands of dollars of tulle aside, leaving it like a discarded skin on the marble floor.

— “Keep your money, Richard.” — Elena said, looking him dead in the eye. — “And keep your lies, Julian.”

— She turned on her heel, her sneakers squeaking loudly against the pristine floor, contrasting sharply with the opulent setting.

— “Elena, wait!” — Julian called out, taking a step forward, but Richard’s arm shot out, blocking him.

— “Let her go, Julian. She’s smarter than both of us.” — Richard whispered.

— Amelia looked around the room, realizing the security guards were moving toward her from the perimeter.

— “This isn’t over!” — Amelia screamed as a guard gently but firmly took her arm. — “You can’t do this to me! I have copies of everything!”

— “They’ve already been wiped from your servers, Amelia.” — Richard said without turning around. — “Enjoy the ride home.”

— Elena didn’t look back as the heavy gold doors opened for her one last time.

— She walked out into the cool evening air, the distant sound of city traffic a welcome relief from the suffocating symphony of betrayal inside.

— As she walked down the grand stone steps of the estate, she pulled her hair out of the bridal pins, letting it fall loose over her shoulders.

— She didn’t have millions, and she didn’t have a prince, but as she unlocked her old, dented delivery van, she knew she had something none of them would ever possess.

— Her freedom.
